THE MEMBERS’ NOTICEBOARD

About privacy

The members’ noticeboard uses Microsoft Entra External ID to sign people in and a separate membership check to control access to private event details.

Signing in

Passwords and other sign-in checks are handled on Microsoft’s sign-in pages. This page does not collect your password. Microsoft’s sign-in service processes the information you provide there.

The Microsoft authentication library stores account information, tokens, and temporary sign-in state in this site’s per-tab session storage. These can survive a reload, and a browser may restore them when restoring a session. This page does not use local storage for authentication.

Checking membership

The page sends an access token to this site’s members API. The API verifies the token and checks the account against the approved membership list before returning member details. Creating an account or signing in does not grant membership.

Private event details

Private event details are loaded after the access check. This page does not save them in browser storage. It clears them when you sign out, switch accounts, leave the page, or move away from the tab. It checks access again when you return.

This page does not add analytics or advertising trackers. Hosting and identity services may process technical connection and sign-in records under their own policies.

On a shared device

Sign out and close the tab when you finish. Microsoft’s sign-in cookies are separate from this site’s session storage and may remain active according to your Microsoft sign-in choices and browser settings.
